Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Kirsty Wai Chung Lee is the Chief Medical Officer of ACT Genomics Co., Ltd. She graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2006, and received her medical oncology specialist qualification in 2013. In 2016, she was awarded a distinction for palliative medicine diploma certification by Cardiff University. After working in St George Hospital Cancer Care Centre in Australia, she earned fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2019. Since then, she has been working in the Chinese University of Hong Kong Prince of Wales Hospital, HKSAR till now.
Dr. Lee is currently the Clinical Professional Consultant, Honorary Associate Consultant in both the Department of Clinical Oncology of The Chinese University of Hong Kong and also the Prince of Wales Hospital in Hong Kong. While in Hong Kong, her research topics included lung cancer molecular diagnostics and supportive care. During the time she worked in Sydney, her research and practice mainly focused on lung, breast, gynecological and gastrointestinal malignancies. Besides research and medical education, she is also working as the Laboratory Director in Sanomics Limited, overseeing clinical and quality assurance aspects of research and laboratory services.
Dr. Lee has obtained travel grants from the European Society of Medical Oncology, MD Anderson Cancer Centre, and the Australia and Asia Pacific Clinical Oncology Research Development Workshop. Moreover, she has represented and advised the Hong Kong Alliance for Rare Diseases to advocate the improvement of services for patients suffering from rare cancers.
