Regional Business Development Manager

The Regional BD Manager will be responsible for driving business growth across assigned territories by identifying, developing, and managing partnerships, client accounts, and strategic sales and business collaborations opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in life sciences or genomics, with a proven track record of achieving sales and business development targets in the biotech, healthcare or medical diagnostics field.

〔Job Responsibility〕
1. Market Development & Sales Execution
- Identify and engage key stakeholders, KOLs, and decision-makers in hospitals, clinics, research institutions, and pharma companies and medical healthcare groups
- Promote genomic testing services including oncology diagnostics, hereditary testing, companion diagnostics, etc.
- Drive revenue growth through direct sales, channel partners, or B2B collaborations.
- Prepare and deliver customized proposals and business and product sales presentations.
2. Achieve Sales and Business Development Targets
- Develop business plan and sales/BD strategy
- Prepare target budget n revenue and cost
- Achieve revenue and margin targets
3. Strategic Customer Relationship and Partnership Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers and regional partners.
- Negotiate commercial terms, manage contracts, and follow up on renewals and upsells.
- Act as the primary point of contact for escalated client concerns or business collaboration needs.
4. Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify trends and opportunities.
- Provide feedback to product and marketing teams to optimize offerings and messaging.
- Participate in regional conferences, exhibitions, and industry events to build brand awareness.
- Explore and develop distribution channels and partnerships
5. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with medical affairs, lab operations, and logistics teams to ensure quality delivery and client satisfaction.
- Align with corporate strategies to achieve consistent brand positioning and sales messaging.
6. Reporting & Forecasting
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance analysis.
- Track KPIs including lead conversion, revenue achievement, and customer retention.
〔Job Qualification〕
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or related field.
- Minimum5 years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles in in the healthcare industry(pharmaceutical, diagnostic, or medical device sectors).
- Proficiency in business and medical communication, both verbal and written, in English, Mandarin is a plus.
- Familiarity with NGS, cancer genomics, or clinical lab testing is highly preferred.
- Familiarity and experience in business development in countries in the region including understanding of local regulations, business environment/practices, business culture and local connections is a plus
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and a track record of success.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Fluency in English (additional regional language is a plus).
- Willingness to travel (expected 50% time travelling ).
