Technical Product Manager

〔Job purpose〕

This position serves as a strategic bridge between Product Management and Clinical Laboratory Services, ensuring seamless translation of technical, operational, and quality requirements across teams. The position deeply understands and communicates the technical aspects of NGS assays, including workflow dependencies, automation needs, and data pipeline considerations. This individual must be enthusiastic, positive, even-tempered and effective in building working relationships with product and clinical services teams. This individual should demonstrate dependability, flexibility and maturity.

〔Working relationship〕

Internal: R&D; Clinical Lab Services NGS team, Medical information team, Bio-informatics team, Regulatory and quality assurance team, sales, marketing and business development team.

〔Key accountabilities〕

1. Manage cross-functional coordination with Clinical Lab Services teams, R&D, Regulatory, Quality, and commercial teams to resolve issues impacting assay performance or delivery.

2. Support product lifecycle activities, including change management, design updates, and process optimizations.

〔Requirements〕

◆Technical & Product Management:

1. Serve as a liaison between product management, and clinical lab services teams.

2. Understand and articulate the technical details of the NGS assay, including workflow dependencies, automation components, and data pipeline impacts.

3. Support the execution of new product introductions, product line extensions, and assay optimization initiatives.

4. Ensure documentation, specifications, and process updates are maintained accurately and in compliance with quality systems.

◆Cross-Functional Collaboration:

1. Partner closely with the Lab Director to align tactical operations with strategic goals.

2. Collaborate with Regulatory, Clinical, and Quality teams to ensure compliance with applicable standards and readiness for audits or submissions.

3. Work with Commercial Operations and Customer Support to address post-launch feedback, product issues, and customer escalations.

◆Preferred:

1. Life science, bioengineering, molecular biology background

2. 2 years with a master’s degree or PhD is a plus

3. Understanding of diagnostic assay workflows and experience in regulated environments (IVD, CLIA, CAP, or FDA-regulated labs).

4. Experience supporting NGS-based assays.

5. Exceptional communication, organization, and analytical skills.
